Day 37
“Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcome and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:19-21).
OVERCOMING
Jesus describes Himself in the passage above as an overcomer. He challenges the members of the church in Laodicea to be overcomers themselves. How will they do that? Obviously by the power of the Holy Spirit and the conviction in their own hearts to return fully to Christ in acts of zealous (glad, eager, quickly responsive) repentance.
PRAY…
Lord Jesus, Your grace is amazing! I praise You for Your goodness, Your steadfast love, and Your lovingkindness which endures from generation to generation! Please make Your presence known to us and provide us with wisdom and counsel from Your Word and Your Spirit. I humbly ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
