LEANING ON JESUS

Read John 16:1-15.

Who is Jesus encouraging the disciples to trust once He is gone from their physical presence? Will His disciples face challenges in their Gospel work?

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Friend because He:

•Convicts people of sin, righteousness, and judgment (16:8).

•Guides God’s people in the truth (16:13).

•Discloses wisdom for decision-making regarding the future (16:13).

•Glorifies Jesus (16:14).

PRAY…

Jesus, I am realizing more and more that You are the main player in our church. We are merely Your servants, and we like it that way. Keep empowering us to faithfully love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength while we pursue knowing You and obeying You. Please provide clear direction as we follow You. We are in this for the long haul, Jesus; willing to wait for You to put all the pieces together for Your glory. Make Your Name great we pleadingly request, in Your Great Name! Amen!
